Senior Digital LC/MAC Designer
Atmosic Technologies is looking for LC/MAC design engineers who are passionate about delivering differentiated low-power and battery-free wireless connectivity solutions. Job title and responsibilities commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities
- Architecture, implementation and system integration of wireless Link Layer Control (LC)/ Media Access Control (MAC) blocks for Bluetooth, 15.4, Wi-Fi
- Digital design using a combination of Verilog and SystemVerilog
- Complete the initial round of verification, working independently or with assistance from the specialized verification team
- Work with physical design team to troubleshoot synthesis, timing, power, formal, place and route, and/or ECO related issues
- Work with technical writers to prepare documentation and other collateral
- Develop testbeds for validation of digital LC/MAC blocks in simulation and/or emulation platforms
- Bringup and validation of LC/MAC designs both in FPGAs and ASICs
- Support through production and customer engagement
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
- Skilled in digital design
- Capable of taking design through synthesis starting with a specification
- Established track record as primary designer on at least two project cycles from specification through to market introduction
- Capable of scripting and leveraging automation
- Familiarity with physical design flows
- Good knowledge of Xilinx/Altera FPGA tools
- Excellent communication skills and ability to elaborate on complex concepts
- Enjoys working in a fast paced startup environment
- BS or MS (preferred) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
Desired Experience
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy, 15.4, Wi-Fi, and related protocols
- Knowledge of Advanced Microcontroller Bus Architecture (AMBA)
- Possess enough software expertise to write system level software for SOC verification
- FPGA platform bringup and debug
