To aid developers throughout their evaluation and product design, Atmosic offers a number of software utilities that will accelerate by providing insight and design options. Many of the utilities are also available in both source code in addition to their executable formats so that developers can use these products as a framework for their own PC and mobile tools they may offer to their own customers.
Mobile Apps
Viviant
Intended to support developers evaluate the Atmosic silicon and then developing, testing, and debugging their own products, The Atmosic Viviant mobile application will vastly reduce time-to-market.
The mobile app has two basic use modes:
- Demo
- Developer
both intended to aid developers throughout their understanding, planning and execution phases.
Demo Functions
In this mode the app can be used to guide developers on how data can be sent to and from the SoC/module and displayed in a mobile application. To do this various switches, gauges, and other user interface options are used.
The demo mode is also an excellent tool to simply exercise the Wireless SoC/module during evaluations.

- Blinky - The basic and much loved 'LED and Push Button' demo application
- Motion - Move your kit to control a 3D render on the screen
- Gauges - View various data from your kit on simple gauges
- Device Scanner - View nearby BLE devices and their properties
Developer Functions
For developers looking to get more technical data during test and debug, the mobile app also offers a number of utilities intended to reduce the time they spend diagnosing their development issues but accelerate the productization of their design.
Features:
- Device Scanner - An extended features version of the Device Scanner in Demo Functions that offer greater technical insight
- BLE Configurator - Change the simple configuration of the connected Atmosic BLE Soc/Module
- RSSI Graph - Discover the Relative Signal Strength of nearby BLE devices
Mobile Apps
DevTools
DevTools is the legacy mobile app, being replaced by Viviant, and offered by Atmosic as a basic aid to Bluetooth application development witht he Atmosic SoCs. Much of the capability of DevTools will be absorped into the richer Viviant environment. DevTools will slowly be de-commissioned but will be kept available with limited support maintenance in the interim.
Laptop/Desktop Apps
Atmosic offers a number of laptop/desktop apps all intended to aid customers across a multitude of aspects. Atmosic offers applications to help product managers understand the benefits of our technology, engineers during development, and operations managers during product test/manufacturing.
Atmosic Utilities
Intended to replicate the mobile one-tool for everything approach, Atmosic Utilities is a new framework that will continue to grow with new and exciting features for customers looking to exercise the Atmosic SoC/module features.
Included Utilities
Angle-of-Arrival (AoA)
To support the ATMEVK-AoA Evaluation Kit (ATMAOA-33-KIT) which demonstrates the Bluetooth Direction Finding capabilities on the ATM33 Wireless Bluetooth SoC, this utility demonstrates how data can be used to extract location information in addition to other sensor information such as temperature and humidity from remote sensors.
