Red Herring has announced Atmosic Technologies as a winner of its Top 100 North America 2019 event, an honor that recognizes the continent’s most exciting and innovative private technology companies. Entrants were judged by industry experts, insiders and journalists on a wide variety of criteria, including financial performance, innovation, business strategy, and market penetration. Winners ran the gamut of verticals, from FinTech and Marketing to Security, IoT, and more.
Atmosic, which launched in October 2018, is an innovative fabless semiconductor company, designing ultra-low power wireless solutions to dramatically reduce and disrupt device dependency on batteries. It was selected by the Red Herring judges due to its successful implementation of lowest power connectivity solutions and energy harvesting through its M2 and M3 Series chipsets, which are poised to eliminate battery reliance on IoT, ultimately leading to a battery-free world.
“Atmosic stood out because of its commitment to solving a problem that will impact how we approach connectivity and smart devices on an economical and environmental scale,” said Red Herring Chairman Alex Vieux. “Realizing the elimination of batteries through energy harvesting is a huge step forward in powering our ever-connected world.”
Red Herring’s editors have been evaluating the world’s startups and tech companies for over two decades. It gives them the ability to see through the industry’s hype to pick firms that will continue on a trajectory to success. Brands such as Alibaba, Google, Kakao, Skype, Spotify, Twitter and YouTube have all been singled out in Red Herring’s storied history.
The winners, who were chosen from thousands of entrants, celebrated at a special awards ceremony at the Westin Pasadena hotel, which was preceded by two days of keynote speeches, discussions and finalist presentations.
