Atmosic Technologies is looking for a Wireless IOT communications firmware engineer who is passionate about delivering differentiated products and new applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver Layer 2, Layer 3 IOT stack and profiles for customer solutions based on Bluetooth Low Energy, 802.15.4, Zigbee, Thread, Matter (CHIP)
- Work closely with customers, vendors and product marketing/management
- Create specifications from high-level requirements
- Execute full product development cycle from preliminary prototype through testing, verification, and customer deployment
- Program efficient and testable code
- Develop software verification strategy and quality assurance procedures
- Document and maintain software functionality
Requirements:
- Expert in Bluetooth Low Energy or 802.15.4/Zigbee protocol, software interfaces, and IoT applications
- Experience with implementing communication protocols at Layer 2 and Layer 3, including Network/Transport layer, profiles, security and interfaces for user applications
- Proficiency with embedded software development using C, or other programming languages suited for resource constrained embedded systems
- Good understanding of microcontrollers and real-time operating systems
- Ability to specify SW-HW interfaces and HW features that improve SW and overall system efficiency
- Strong analytical skills
- Self-driven with a can-do attitude and desire to work in a fast paced startup environment
Desired Experience:
- Expertise in 15.4 and Zigbee networking
- Expertise in Thread, Matter (CHIP) or other IoT Mesh systems
- Familiarity with applications such as RF4CE is a plus
- Experience with implementation of IOT communications stack at Layer 4
- Familiarity with semiconductor software development processes and tools
- 5+ years of relevant experience in embedded software for low power systems
- Familiarity with other wireless protocols and SoC platform architectures
- BS in Computer Science or related discipline required, MS preferred
