Atmosic Joins United Nations Global Compact
It’s no secret that the majority of IoT device battery waste ends up in landfills. This negatively impacts the environment, leaching dangerous chemicals into the soil and water. While we can’t change the past, we can all make better choices for the future
Since 2016, Atmosic has been committed to reducing the battery dependency of IoT devices to solve the problem of battery waste. To showcase our commitment to driving a sustainable future, Atmosic has officially joined the United Nations Global Compact, a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation, and disclosure of responsible business practices.
As a member of the UN Global Compact, Atmosic publicly commits itself to uphold the Ten Principles on human rights, labor, environment, and anti-corruption by operating on universal sustainability principles to create a culture of integrity for people and the planet. Atmosic joins the UN Global Compact alongside more than 16,000 companies around the world.
Collectively, the tech industry has the ability to drastically reduce the environmental impact on our planet. Atmosic’s portfolio of ultra-low power wireless solutions, including the ATM2 series, ATM3 series, and ATM33 series, eliminate the need for battery replacement in smart devices to minimize battery waste across the IoT. Furthermore, our technology even allows some devices to operate without any batteries. As a result, Atmosic is saving tens of millions of batteries from ending up in landfills.
As a new member of the UN Global Compact, we will continue to actively address sustainability challenges with our customers and partners. Atmosic is also committed to improving its internal sustainability practices and updating company processes and products. We’re looking forward to contributing to the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative to accelerate efforts towards a net-zero economy.
